Why Multi-Region Matters

Email delivery isn't just about reaching the inbox — it's about reaching it fast, and from the right place. Geographic proximity to the recipient's mail server can significantly impact delivery speed and even deliverability scores.

Architecture Overview

A multi-region setup in SendForge uses sending node groups distributed across different geographic zones. Each node group connects to your infrastructure in that region — whether it's an AWS SES endpoint in eu-west-1 or a Mailgun region in EU.

Setting Up Geographic Routing

SendForge's sending node manager can route based on recipient geography. Configure rules like:

  • EU recipients → EU sending nodes
  • US recipients → US-East sending nodes
  • APAC recipients → Singapore sending nodes

Compliance Benefits

GDPR and other data protection regulations often have requirements about where data is processed. Multi-region routing helps ensure that EU recipient data is processed through EU infrastructure.

Failover and Redundancy

The real power of multi-region isn't just performance — it's resilience. If your US-East nodes go down, traffic automatically routes to US-West. Your sending never stops.

Monitoring Across Regions

SendForge's health dashboard gives you a unified view of all regions. Track delivery rates, bounce rates, and latency per region to identify issues before they become problems.
